Source of Chinese Philosophy

《周易》是中国传统思想文化中自然哲学与人文实践的理论根源，诸子百家皆出于此，是古代汉民族思想、智慧的结晶，被誉为“大道之源”。其内容极其丰富，对中国几千年来的政治、经济、文化等各个领域都产生了极其深刻的影响。

The Book of Changes is the theoretical root of natural philosophy and humanistic practice in Chinese traditional thought and culture. All Chinese ancient philosophy are based on it. It is the crystallization of the thought and wisdom of the ancient Han nationality and is known as the "source of the Taoistic thought (Tao is the law of nature and creation of form". Its content is extremely rich and has had an extremely profound impact on China's politics, economy, culture and other fields for thousands of years.

“是故，易有太极，是生两仪。

两仪生四象，四象生八卦。”

“Tai Chi, the two opposing forces manifest Liangyi, namely Yin (feminine, negative) & Yang (masculine, positive). They produce four phenomenon, namely Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter. The four phenomenon generate the eight trigrams (Bagua) which create everything in the world.”

何谓太极、八卦

What is Taichi & Bagua?

太极即为天地未开、混沌未分阴阳之前的状态。所谓太极即是阐明宇宙从无极而到太极，以至万物化生的过程。

八卦是中国古代人民的基本哲学概念，是古代的阴阳学说。所谓八卦就是八个卦相，八卦是由太昊伏羲氏，也就是伏羲画出的。八卦其实是最早的文字，是文字符号。它是中国文化中与阴阳、五行一体用来推演世界空间、时间各类事物关系的工具。

Tai Chi is the state before heaven and earth are opened and chaos is not divided into darkness and Light. The so-called Tai Chi is to clarify the process of the universe from infinity to Tai Chi, and even the transformation of all things.

Bagua is the basic philosophical concept of the ancient Chinese people and the ancient theory of Yin and Yang. The eight trigrams were drawn by the Fuxi family of Taihao, that is, Fuxi. Bagua is actually the earliest text, which is a text symbol. It is a tool in Chinese culture that integrates Yin, Yang and five elements to deduce the relationship between all kinds of things in world space and time.

昆山迈高园的设计概念就是完整阐述《易经》太极始初为无极，象征当初昆山开发区这块宝地初始之时的状态，而将圆形造型的平谦博物馆寓意为我们的太极，太极为天、地、人、物的本有之体，简称为本体，此体圆含无穷的形象与无尽的功用，本体形象、功用不相分离。

The design concept of Kunshan Prenco park is to fully explain that Tai Chi in the Book of Changes was infinity at the beginning, symbolizing the initial state of this treasure land in Kunshan Development Zone. The circular Plainvim Museum implies our Tai Chi. Tai Chi is the original body of heaven, earth, people and things, which is referred to as noumenon. This body circle contains infinite forms and endless functions, and the forms and functions of noumenon are not separated.

“太极生两仪”，两仪即为阴、阳二仪。太极化生万物，就产生出阴、阳两大类别。因而我们将一期的两栋多层研发厂房B1、B2栋代表为阴、阳两仪。

Tai Chi, the two opposing forces manifest Liangyi, namely Yin (feminine, negative) & Yang (masculine, positive). Tai Chi changes into all things, resulting in two categories, Yin and Yang. So we represent the two multi-storey R & D plants B1 and B2 in phase I as Yin and Yang.

“两仪生四象”，因阴阳有别所以就产生了春、夏、秋、冬，这四个不同的季节变化，春冬寒凉（即是阴），夏秋炎热（即是阳）。因而我们将入园左右两侧的四栋多层C1、C2、C12、C11分别代表春、夏、秋、冬四象。

"Liangyi produces four phenomenon". Due to the difference between Yin and Yang, there are four different seasons: Spring, Summer,Aautumn and Winter. Spring and Winter are cold (that is Yin) and Summer and Autumn are hot (that is Yang). Therefore,we use the four multi-storey buildings C1, C2, C12 and C11 on the left and right sides of the park to represent Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter respectively.

运用周易八个卦象，寓意着八种美好的祝福！

The 8 buildings represent 8 divinatory symbols, 8 good meanings and blessings.

迈高科学产业城一期单层厂房共8栋，每栋厂房蕴藏着易经的一个卦象，分别是乾卦、咸卦、泰卦、比卦、坤卦、恒卦、谦卦和大有卦。

There are 8 one-storey plants in Kunshan Prenco Industrial Property Development Co., Ltd Phase 1 plot, and each of the building represents different divinatory symbols: Qian, Xian, Tai, Bi, Kun, Heng, Qian and Da You.

A1. 乾为天

乾上乾下

Qian: the creative heaven

乾：元亨利贞

乾卦：大吉大利，吉祥的占卜。

Qian (represents) what is great and originating, penetrating, advantageous, correct and firm.

A2. 泽山咸

艮下兑上

Xian: influence

咸：亨，利贞。取女，吉。

咸卦：亨通，吉利的占卜。娶女为妻。吉利。

Xian indicates that, (on the fulfilment of the conditons implied in it), there will be free coures and success. Its advantagousness will depend on the being firm and correct, (as) in marrying a yound lady. There will be good furtune.

A3. 地天泰

乾下坤上

Tai: peace

泰：小往大来，吉亨。

泰卦：由小利转为大利，吉利亨通。

In Tai (we see) the little gone and the great come. (It indicates that) there will be good fortune, with progress and success.

A4. 水地比

坤下坎上

Bi: holding together

比：吉。原筮，元永贞，无咎。不宁方来，后夫凶。

比卦：吉利。三人同时占问，占问长久吉凶，没有灾祸。不愿服从的邦国来了，迟迟不来的诸侯要受罚。

Bi indicates that (under the conditions which it supposes) there is good fortune. But let (the principal party intended in it) re-examine himself, (as if) by divination, whether his virtue be great, unintermitting, and firm. If it be so, there will be no error. Those who have not rest will then come to him; and with those who are (too) late in coming it will be ill.

A5. 坤为地

坤下坤上

Kun: the receptive earth

坤：元亨。利牝马之贞。君子有悠往，先迷，后得主。利西南得朋，东北桑朋。安贞吉。

坤卦：大吉大利。占问母马得到了吉利的征兆。君子贵族外出旅行经商，开始时迷了路，后来遇上了招待客人的房东，有利。往西南方走，可以获得财物；往东北方向走会丧失财物。占问定居，得到吉利的预兆。

Kun (represents) what is great and originating, penetrating, advantageous, correct and having the firmness of a mare. When the superior man (here intended) has to make any movement, if he take the initiative, he will go astray; if he follow, he will find his(proper) lord. The advantageousness will be seen in his getting friends in the south-west, and losing friends in the north-east. If he rest in correctness and firm, there will be good fortune.

A6. 雷风恒

巽下震上

Heng: duration

恒：亨，无咎，力贞。利有攸往。

恒卦：亨通，没有灾祸，吉利的占问。有利于远行。

Heng indicates successful progress and no error (in what is denotes). But the advantage will come from being firm and correct; and movement in any direction whatever will be advantageous.

A7. 地山谦

艮下坤上

Qian: modesty

谦：亨，君子有终。

谦卦：亨通，君子谦让将会有好结果。

Qian indicates progress and success. The superior man, (being humble as it implies), will have a (good) issue (to his undertakings).

A8. 火天大有

乾下离上

Da You: great possession

大有：元亨。

大有卦：大亨大通。

Da You indicates that, (under the circumstances which it implies), there will be great progress and success.

万物繁荣，生生不息

Everything prospers and endures.

迈高科学产业城二期单层厂房共8栋，根据一期单层厂房的8个主卦，选择了相应的8个副卦蕴藏其中，分别是小畜卦、豫卦、遁卦、革卦、观卦、贲卦、大壮卦和中孚卦。

There are 8 one-storey plants in Kunshan Prenco Industrial Property Development Co., Ltd in Phase 2 plot. Eight auxiliary divinatory symbols were selected according to the eight main hexagrams of phase I, including Xiaoxu, Yu, Dun, Ge, Guan, Bi, Dazhuang and Zhongfu.

A9. 风天小畜

乾下巽上

Xiao Xu: small taming

小畜：亨。密云不雨，自我西郊。

象曰：风行天上，小畜。君子以懿文德。

小畜卦：吉利。在西郊一带浓云密布，但雨没有下来。

君子观此卦象，取法催发万物的和风，自励风范，推行德教。

Xiao Xu: Xiao Xu indicates that (under its conditions) there will be progress and success. (We see) dense clouds, but no rain coming from our borders in the west.

Xiang Yue: (The trigram representing) the sky, and that representing wind moving above it, form Xiao Xu. The superior man, in accordance with this, adorns the outward manifestation of his virtue.

A10. 雷地豫

下坤上震

Yu: enthusiasm

豫：豫者悦也。利建侯行师。

豫卦：安闲。有利于封侯建国，出兵打仗。

Yu: At ease. Yu indicates that, (in the state which it implies), feudal princes may be set up, and the hosts put in motion, with advantage.

A11. 天山遁

乾上艮下

Dun: retreat

遁。亨。小利贞。

象曰：天下有山，遁。君子以远小人，不恶而严。

遁卦：通达。小有利之占问。

《象辞》说：本卦上卦为乾，乾为天，下卦为艮，艮为山，天下有山，天高山远，是遁卦的卦象。君子观此卦象，当疏远小人，但并不是憎恶，而在于示以威严，使其敬而远之。

Dun indicates that, (under the circumstances which it implies), we should alienate villains, showing dignity and keeping them away, instead of hating them.

A12. 泽火革

下离上兑

Ge: revolution

革：元亨利贞。悔亡。

革卦：亨通，吉利的卜问。没有悔恨。

得此卦者，凡事均在变动之中，宜去旧立新，以应革新之象，则会吉祥。

Ge indicates that, being prosperous and auspicious, and no regrets. (Under the circumstances which it implies), everything is changing. We should remove the old and establish a new one in order to respond to the atmosphere of renovation, which will lead to be auspicious.

A13. 风地观

下坤上巽

Guan: contemplation

象曰：风行地上，观。先王以省方观民设教。

《象辞》说：本卦上卦为巽为风，下卦为坤为地，风行大地吹拂万物，这是观的卦象。先王观此卦象取法于周流八方的风，从而巡视邦国，观察民情，推行教化。

此卦象有万物滋生、国运昌盛、求官得爵之象，有观望、展示、等待之意。

Guan indicates that, (under the circumstances which it implies), all things are breeding, and the country is prosperous and seeking an official and you will get a knight. It also means to wait and see, to show and to watch.

A14.山火贲

下离上艮

Bi: grace

贲: 亨。小利有攸往。

贲卦：明辩了事物的实质就能知其弊端而不断进行文饰和改良了，从而才能使事物不断地趋向完善和改进，是以“十分亨通，小利，有攸往。

Bi indicates that, (under the circumstances which it implies), after clearly arguing about the essence of things, we can know their disadvantages and constantly decorate and improve them, so as to make things constantly tend to be better. That’s why we say it means "very prosperous, small profits and good prospects".

A15. 雷天大壮

上雷下乾

Dazhuang: great power

大壮：利贞

大壮卦象征十分强盛。坚守正道，将会非常有利。

Da Zhuang hexagram represents being powerful and prosperous.

Sticking to the right path will be very beneficial.

A16. 风泽中孚

下兑上巽

Zhong Fu: inner truth

中孚：豚鱼，吉。利涉大川，利贞。

中孚卦：豚鱼献祭，虽物薄但心诚，吉利。并利于涉水过河。这是吉利的占卜。

得此卦者，正直诚信者吉利，会得到朋友的帮助，谋事可成；心存邪念者则凶。

Zhongfu indicates that porpoise sacrifice, although the offering is trifling, but the thought is sincere and auspicious. And it facilitate wading across the river. This is auspicious divination. Those who get this divination, if he is honest and sincere, he will get the help from friends and can achieve what he wants; if he has evil thoughts, then it means danger.
