Ziliang Yang founded CellX in 2020, a leading alternative protein startup in China, focusing on the R&D and commercialization of cultivated meat and mycelium products. The company launched the 1^sthigh-protein mushroom mycelium Jerky in the US market in 2025, under the brand name Mourish (Mushrooms that Nourish). Ziliang was recognized as Forbes Asia and Forbes China 30 under 30 in 2022.  

Before starting CellX, Ziliang worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group in Boston. He gave up the Wharton MBA program to found CellX in 2020.
