The current research of https://ki.se/en/research/sijie-chen aims at developing novel fluorescence based tools and technology for biological research. Up till now, Dr Chen is the author and co-author of ~50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.; J. Am. Chem. Soc.; Mater. Horiz.; Chem. Sci.; Adv. Mater. etc. Two postdoctoral researcher positions are available in the following area: 1. Biomedical Engineering 2. Chemistry or materials science
Completion of a PhD or an equivalent degree in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science or related disciplines.
A strong publication record in peer reviewed journals.
The successful candidate is expected to have sufficient background knowledge in biomaterials or fluorescent materials, bioconjugation, materials synthesis and characterization, bioimaging.
Experience in vivo experiments, advanced imaging such as super-resolution imaging, and programming is an advantage.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Completion of a PhD or an equivalent degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or related disciplines.
A strong publication record in peer reviewed journals.
The successful candidate is expected to have sufficient background knowledge and experience in design, synthesis, and characterization of small organic fluorophores, fluorescent probes and fluorescent nano-materials.
Experience in computational chemistry and molecular modeling, bioconjugation or bioimaging is an advantage.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
