January usually starts with fresh plans, increased targets and new improvement initiatives. But on the shop floor, reality kicks in pretty fast. The same small parts still decide whether production runs smoothly or not. The same tail suppliers still take disproportionate time.

That’s exactly where most improvement plans don’t focus, they focus on major parts/suppliers.
𝐀𝐭 𝐌𝐀𝐆45, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬: availability, control and peace of mind in the tail supply chain. Not by adding complexity, but by taking it away. Less chasing, fewer surprises, more flow.
No big promises for January. Just a simple focus: make sure the right parts are there, so engineers can focus on building, improving and moving forward.
