民航资源网2020年1月20日消息：据阿拉伯商业网报道，阿提哈德航空于近日宣布，它承诺到2050年实现净零碳排放的最低目标，到2035年，将净碳排放量降至2019年的一半。
阿提哈德航空在一份声明中称，它将通过内部措施、与行业伙伴合作以及实施相关碳抵消项目来实现上述雄心勃勃的环保目标。
阿提哈德航空集团CEO Tony Douglas表示：“阿提哈德航空集团及其合作伙伴通过燃油管理优化、可持续融资实践等措施，在减少航空业对环境影响方面正在发挥积极作用。”
Douglas指出，从航空公司、供应商到空域供应商的整个航空运输业，均有责任帮助减少航空业碳排放，同时，相关解决方案必须是全局、协调一致的，而不是孤立、零星散乱的。
国际航协（IATA）预测，20年后航空旅客量将增长一倍多，到2030年代底，旅客量将从2019年的45亿人次增长至大约90亿人次。
去年11月，阿提哈德航空与波音宣布双方将合作开展一个生态环保项目，一架特殊主题的波音787梦想飞机将被用于测试一些旨在减少飞机碳排放的产品、程序和措施。

Etihad said in a statement that it would achieve these ambitious environmental goals through internal measures, partnerships with industry partners and related carbon offset projects.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Etihad aviation group, said: "Etihad aviation group and its partners are playing an active role in reducing the environmental impact of the aviation industry through measures such as fuel management optimization and sustainable financing practices."
Douglas pointed out that the entire air transportation industry, from airlines, suppliers to airspace suppliers, has the responsibility to help reduce the carbon emissions of the aviation industry. At the same time, the relevant solutions must be global and coordinated, rather than isolated and scattered.
IATA predicts that the number of air passengers will more than double in 20 years. By the end of 2030, the number of passengers will increase from 4.5 billion in 2019 to about 9 billion.
In November last year, Etihad aviation and Boeing announced that they would work together on an eco-friendly project, and a special theme Boeing 787 Dreamliner would be used to test products, procedures and measures aimed at reducing aircraft carbon emissions.
