吕炯教授是新加坡国立大学化学系、功能智能材料学院院长讲席教授。近年来，课题组在顶级学术期刊发表一系列高水平论文，其中包括30+ Nature/Science 及其子刊，Nature (2)，Nature Nanotechnology (5)，Nature Materials (3)， Nature Chemistry (1), Nature Synthesis (2)，Nature Electronics (1)，Nature Physics (1), Nature Review Chemistry (1)，Nature Communications (14)，Science Advance (5)。
