3月19日，商务部投资促进事务局中国投资贸易洽谈会办公室主任迪丽拜尔和厦门市会展局副局长李流泉一行来京回访，就2021年投洽会期间共同举办活动等事宜进行进一步沟通。
西部区域协同中心
3月8至9日，武雅斌主任一行赴成都拜访副市长程伟、刘筱柳，并与中国国际经济技术交流中心、联合国开发计划署可持续发展创新示范项目办公室、成都市商务局、成都高新区和日中一带一路促进协会、成都市中日示范项目办地方联络组共同举行多方工作会议，探讨2021年工作规划及开展有关RCEP专题、数字贸易专题和第四次工业革命与女性创业/技术赋能专题系列培训项目，联合国多机构合作举办“第16届中国-欧盟投资贸易科技合作洽谈会”高端论坛，开展中欧、中日职业教育合作等。
东部区域协同中心
调研组与济南市商务局、中国（山东）自贸试验区济南片区和市高新区等进行座谈，就如何创新提升“东亚博览会”、继续办好“中德（欧）中小企业合作交流大会”和推动构建中欧地方性合作平台等进行了交流，并考察华熙生物。
北方区域协同中心
调研组与河南省委外办、郑州市委外办、郑州市工信局、郑州航空港经济综合实验区等进行座谈，就支持河南投洽会、郑州国际生物药发展高峰论坛等重大投促活动，协助开展企业家“领航计划”等进行交流，并考察郑州临空生物医药园。
后续，ITPO Beijing将继续通过联合国工发组织全球网络、借助全球高端论坛等平台帮助各地方政府在国际上推介地方特色产业、展示最佳实践，并与全球政策、商业、行业与知识伙伴进行深入交流与互动。同时，各协同中心将结合地方需求和发展特色，支持与提升地方投资促进、技术转移与招商引资重大活动，组织行业领军企业赴地方调研，开展项目对接和赋能培训，推动产业链招商与数字化转型，“立足当地，协同周边，面向全国，走向世界”。欢迎利益相关方持续关注。

In 2020, ITPO Beijing launched four Regional Coordination Centers (RCCs) in Jinan, Xiamen, Chengdu, and Zhengzhou, to strengthen the implementation of major foreign investment projects in various regions, support enterprises "going global", and promote coordinated regional development and industrial gradient transfer. By far, the ITPO Beijing Regional Coordination Center network has been established, officially.
In the first quarter of 2021, Prof. WU Yabin, Head of ITPO Beijing led a team to visit the four RCCs. Prof. Wu exchanged in-depth conversations on the annual work plan and key cooperation projects with local governments. ITPO Beijing and local governments agreed to work under the guidance of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and reaffirmed that investment promotion and technology transfer are the main driving forces to enhance international competitiveness, inclusiveness, and sustainable industrial development of these regions. Prof. Wu pointed out that, in future, the four RCCs will participate in major local investment promotion events, promote the two-way flow of capital, technology, and talent exchange between cities and foreign countries, and accelerate industrial transformation and upgrading digital technologies, to further promote "fast, strong, and green recovery" after the pandemic.
Southern China Regional Coordination Center (Xiamen)
From February 19 to 21, Prof. WU Yabin and the team went to Xiamen to visit MENG Qian and LIN Jian, Vice Mayors of Xiamen municipal government, and HAN Jingyi, Secretary of Xiamen National Accounting Institute. Prof. WU Yabin also met with representatives of Office of China International Fair for Investment and Trade of CIPA, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Convention, and Exhibition Bureau, etc. During the meetings, he had in-depth discussions regarding participating in the construction of the "BRICS partnership on new industrial revolution innovation center " in Xiamen. Additional points of discussion focused on cooperating to enhance the layout and content of the exhibition events of the "2021 China International Fair for Investment and Trade", and jointly organizing the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership" (RCEP) empowerment projects that tailor the needs of enterprises".
On March 19, Dili Baier, Director of China International Fair for Investment and Trade Office of CIPA, and Li Liuquan, Deputy Director of Xiamen Municipal Convention and Exhibition Bureau, visited ITPO Beijing and further discussed the specific activities to be held during the 2021 CIFIT.
Western Regional Coordination Center (Chengdu)
From March 8 to 9, Prof. WU Yabin and the team went to Chengdu to visit CHENG Wei and LIU Xiaoliu, Vice Mayors of Chengdu municipal government, and met virtually with China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges, UNDP SDG Innovation Pilot Project Office, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, of Chengdu Hi-tech Zone Management Committee.
The team attended a multi-party conference with the Belt and Road Promotion Association of Sino-Japan, China-Japan Liaison Office to discuss the 2021 work plan, series of training programs related to RCEP, digital trade, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Women’s Entrepreneurship/Technological Empowerment. The team also attended the high-end forum at "The 16th EU-China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair" (co-organized by UN agencies), and the cooperation on China-EU, China-Japan vocational education, etc.
Eastern Regional Coordination Center (Jinan)
From March 22 to 23, Prof. WU Yabin and the team went to Jinan to visit YIN Qingzhong, Vice Mayor of Jinan municipal government. Mr. Yin highly appreciated the work done by the Eastern Regional Coordination Center in the past year, and expressed that ITPO Beijing could continue to support Jinan to increase its economic competitiveness.
The team held discussions with Jinan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Jinan Area of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and Jinan Innovation Zone, etc., on how to improve the "East Asia Expo". Other points of discussion included continuation of the "Sino-German (Europe) SME Cooperation and Communication Conference", and to promote the establishment of a platform for China-EU local cooperation. The trip concluded with a visit to Bloomage Biotech.
Northern Regional Coordination Center (Zhengzhou)
From March 23 to 24, Prof. WU Yabin and the team went to Zhengzhou to visit HOU Hong, Mayor of Zhengzhou municipal government, WU Fumin, Vice Mayor of Zhengzhou municipal government, and WAN Zhengfeng, Director of Management Committee of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone. Ms. HOU expressed her warm welcome to the Northern Regional Coordination Center in Zhengzhou and pointed out that Zhengzhou government will give full support to the Center for its radiation role. Focusing on the "Double Ten" strategic industries, especially high-end manufacturing industries such as electronic information and automobiles, Zhengzhou centers on the work of "building chain", "combining chain", "extending chain" and "strengthening chain", accelerates the construction of the "Air Silk Road" between China and Europe, aiming to build regional growth with high-quality development.
The team held discussions with Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Henan Provincial Committee, Foreign Affairs Office of CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, etc. The team exchanged ideas on supporting major investment promotion activities such as Henan International Investment & Trade Fair, Zhengzhou International Biopharmaceutical Development Summit Forum, and entrepreneurs "Pilot Plan". The team also visited Zhengzhou Linkong Biomedical Park.
In future, ITPO Beijing will continue to support multi-level governments to promote local products, showcase best practices via the UNIDO global network and global high-end forums, and deepen communication and interaction with its global policy, business, industry, and knowledge partners. Accordingly, the four RCCs will further combine local needs and industrial characteristics to support and enhance local investment promotion, technology transfer, and investment attraction events. They will work together to organize field trips for leading companies, carry out project matchmaking and empowerment training programmes, promote investment and digitization of industrial chains, conduct their work "base on the local conditions, coordinate with the neighbouring areas, face the whole country, and be internationally recognized".
