UNIDO Global Call 2023 Winners List

In order to respond to the energy crisis and climate change, and to promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization launched the UNIDO Global Call in 2020, aiming to achieve a green recovery of the post-epidemic economy and sustainable industrial growth through global technological innovation and international cooperation. This year, the “UNIDO Global Call 2023”, initiated by the UNIDO ITPO Beijing, covers three major categories: Green Hydrogen, Energy Efficiency, and Clean Energy Innovation, focusing on clean and smart energy, contributing to Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development, and seeking technological solutions in the field of clean energy and energy efficiency optimization globally.

In this year’s UNIDO Global Call, more than 300 original projects were received from more than 60 countries, with 88.5% of the projects submitted by developing countries. The award ceremony invited experts from the International Association for Hydrogen Energy, International Hydrogen Energy Center, Beijing Tsinghua Industrial R&D Institute, Tencent Group, Schneider Electric, and other authoritative organizations in the industry to carry out the evaluation. Through the roadshow presentations of the first-prize shortlisted projects, a grand prize was decided for each category, while special awards such as the Best Innovation Award, the Most Promising Solution Award, and the Best Organization Award were successively unveiled, as well as the winning teams of the first, second, and third prize in each category. The following is the detailed list of award winners.
