In recent years, Sino-German cooperation has become increasingly close, with deeper collaboration across an increasing number of fields. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany, and the German Chancellor Scholz recently led a trade delegation to visit China.

To further promote Sino-German business, investment, and technology cooperation, UNIDO ITPO Beijing invited the Internationaler Wirtschaftssenat e.V. (IWS) to organize more than ten German Hidden Champions (GHCs) from such fields as artificial intelligence, robotics, precision machining, and intelligent manufacturing to visit China during April 14th to 19th.

The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is currently the longest-running and largest comprehensive international trade fair with the largest product variety, the largest number of attending buyers from the widest range of countries and regions, and the best transaction results. It is hence acclaimed as “China’s Number One Fair”.

At the first stop of the itinerary, the delegation was invited to attend the Opening Reception of the 135th Session of China Import and Export Fair and visited its exhibition venues.

Peter NUßBAUM, Secretary-General of IWS, said in his speech that whether it’s Chinese companies investing in Germany or German companies investing in China, both sides hope to deepen bilateral cooperation, and that IWS is willing to provide assistance and support.
