We invite authors to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the Optics, Algos and Ice symposium.

The symposium “Optics, Algos and Ice“ will be held from 17.11.2016 to 20.11.2016 at the Obergurgl University Center, Tyrol, Austria and focus on Advanced Digital Microscopy and Image Analysis, its role in revolutionizing clinical diagnostics and in implementing the personalized medicine concept. 
It is to provide insight in the state of research and technology in an invigorating and stimulating environment – a university seminar centre in Obergurgl (1.930 meters

altitude) in the Tyrol, a stone´s throw from Italian Southern Tyrol province (if one can throw high enough over the surrounding peaks, many of which are in the 3.500 meter range).

Deadline
The abstract submission deadline will be 30 June 2016, 12 o´clock pm. All enquiries regarding abstract submissions and late breaking abstract submissions must be directed to nadine.nirtl@tissuegnostics.com. Accepted abstracts will be published on the Symposium website and in an electronic abstract book. The abstract book will be made available electronically through the TissueGnostics website two weeks prior to the Symposium.

E-mail confirmation of receipt of their abstract will be sent. If you do not receive confirmation, please contactnadine.nirtl@tissuegnostics.com.
Registration does not require abstract submission, but presenters of accepted abstracts are asked to register before to simplify organization of program.

Instructions for Abstract Preparation and Submission
Abstracts must be submitted in English.
The following information should be included:

TITLE
AUTHOR(S)
AFFILIATION
MAIN BODY not to exceed 250 words.

Authors are asked to indicate two categories to which they would prefer their abstract to be assigned. However, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) reserves the right to choose the final session allocation, which may differ from those stipulated by the authors.

Review Process
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee and other experts in the field. The authors will be informed of acceptance of their abstract by e-mail by late September 2016, and whether it has been selected for oral presentation. Accepted abstracts that are not selected for oral presentation should be presented as posters.

Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the designated presenting author to present the abstract in the session and at the time assigned by the LOC.
Submitting an abstract for presentation in the Optics, Algos and Ice symposium does not constitute registration. Abstract presenters must register separately to attend the symposium.
Congress registration fees for the presenting author will not be waived.
The registration fee for this symposium will be € 250,00 and will include coffee breaks and dinners as well as the shuttle from Innsbruck (airport or train station).
Accommodation at the seminar center will cost € 275 for three days including half board.
Authors submitting abstracts will have the opportunity to qualify for various available

travel grants. A separate travel grant application must be completed to qualify. Please contact Nadine Nirtl for further details regarding travel grants (nadine.nirtl@tissuegnostics.com).
