For researchers who are from all areas of research related to artificial intelligence, Stanford University is offering a fixed term Assistant Professor (Research) faculty position. It is a non-renewable term of five years (beginning in September 2021). Selected candidate will be appointed in a disciplinary department (e.g., Communications, Computer Science, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology), and will be a Junior Fellow of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. We are particularly interested in researchers working at the frontiers of artificial intelligence and other disciplines, including but not limited to the humanities, business, education, law, medicine, and physical and social sciences.
Requirements:

Applicants must receive a PhD prior to the start of the appointment . -
Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching . -
Applicants must show outstanding promise in researc h. -
Applicants w ill be expected to teach one course per year at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels . -
Applicants will be expected to participate in HAI community activities, in addition to meeting the expectations of a Stanford faculty member.
