It is my pleasure to be the Executive Sponsor and to welcome you to the Rolls-Royce 2016 Power Symposium in Qingdao.  This is a flagship event for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace and we are delighted you can join us.  This year, along with the usual updates on our Trent family of engines and on future engine technology, we will focus on the significant steps we are taking to improve our responsiveness to you as our customers, on our new flexible and innovative service lines and on our digital strategy.

Paul Freestone 付波

Paul currently leads the Civil Aerospace Customer Regional Team for Greater China in Rolls-Royce as Senior Vice President, Customers. The team, based in Rolls-Royce’s Beijing Customer Service Centre, manages every aspect of the interface with every airline customer in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong from Marketing, Sales and Contracting through to Operations and Engineering support.  Paul joined Rolls-Royce in 1986 and has since worked in and led teams based in Europe, the United States, Australasia and Asia, holding numerous customer-facing roles, including Vice President, Customer Business - North America based in Virginia, USA and Regional Director (Thailand) based in Bangkok, before moving to Beijing to take up his current role in 2016.


付波先生现任罗尔斯·罗伊斯客户高级副总裁,领导大中华区民用航空业务的客户团队。该团队以罗尔斯·罗伊斯北京客户服务中心为基地,负责与中国大陆、台湾和香港地区所有航空客户之间的接洽,从市场、销售和签约,到运营和工程支持等。付波先生于1986年加入罗尔斯·罗伊斯,此后相继在欧洲美国澳大利亚和亚太区供职并担任团队领导人。他曾出任过多个面向客户的职位,如在美国弗吉尼亚担任北美区客户业务副总裁、在曼谷担任泰国区总裁,2016年调往北京担任目前职位。

Phil Harris, Senior Vice President – Sales

Phil Harris was appointed SVP – Sales, at the beginning of 2015 leading the company’s global sales team.  Immediately prior to this, Phil had been Senior Vice President – East leading the multi-functional team selling, contracting, delivering and supporting products and services to Rolls-Royce’s key airline accounts in Asia and the Middle East. In 1990 he completed an MBA and returned to a number of commercial roles in Rolls-Royce negotiating some of its first major Trent airline and airframer contracts.  In 1999 Phil was appointed SVP Commercial, Airlines heading up Rolls-Royce’s Civil Aerospace commercial function. Phil Harris took the position of Customer Business Director in 2001, managing all aspects of business with airline customers in Western Europe.  In 2003 he moved to work on the V2500 engine joining Rolls-Royce’s then joint venture company, International Aero Engines based in Connecticut as SVP – Aftermarket & Commercial.  His responsibilities included IAE’s rapidly expanding aftermarket business and fleet hour agreements.  In January 2007 Phil was appointed Senior Vice President – Customers, leading the IAE Customer Business team and selling over 700 engines in his first year.

Troy Wang, Vice President – Customers, Greater China

Troy Wang was appointed as the Vice President - Customers in July 2015. In this role Troy leads Rolls-Royce Greater China Sales, Customer Service and Commercial teams, responsible for selling, contracting, delivering and servicing Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace engines for airlines and lessors in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Troy joined Rolls-Royce in 2005, and had worked as Market Analyst; Marketing Manager - Asia and Middle East; Sales Manager - America and Europe; and Sales & Marketing Director - Greater China. Prior to the Vice President role, Troy worked as Sales Director - Global, during which he led the RR team winning multi-billion dollar engine sales campaigns in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Troy has been named as the 2015 Young Exporter of the Year by British Exporters Association.


王璀先生于2015年7月出任客户副总裁,负责领导罗尔斯·罗伊斯大中华区的销售、客户服务和商务团队,为中国大陆、香港和台湾地区的航空客户及租赁公司提供民用航空发动机的销售、签约、交付和维护服务。王璀于2005年加入罗尔斯·罗伊斯,相继担任过市场分析师、亚洲与中东区营销经理、美洲与欧洲区销售经理,以及大中华区销售和市场总监等职务。在出任副总裁之前,他担任全球销售总监,期间领导罗尔斯·罗伊斯团队在欧洲、东南亚和非洲赢得了数十亿美元的发动机销售业务。王璀曾荣获英国出口商协会“2015年度最佳青年出口商”奖。

Paul Hallam has been Vice President - Customers since 2014, previous to this role he has held a number of key roles for Rolls-Royce in China including Assistant Vice President – China, Sales Director – China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and Commercial Manager. In his current role, Paul leads Rolls-Royce Greater China Sales, Customer Service and Commercial teams, responsible for selling, contracting, delivering and servicing Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace engines for Air China, China Eastern, China Southern and Cathay Pacific. Paul joined Rolls-Royce in 1985, as an Engineering Apprentice and also spent 5 years in International Aero Engines, based in the U.S. where he was Commercial Manager for China and Asia, where he first came to China in 2002.


海波先生自2014年以来担任客户副总裁,此前他在罗尔斯·罗伊斯中国区担任过许多关键职位,包括中国区助理副总裁、中国大陆、香港和台湾地区销售总监及商务经理等。在目前职位上,海波负责领导罗尔斯·罗伊斯大中华区的销售、客户服务和商务团队,为中国国际航空、东方航空、南方航空和国泰航空提供民用航空发动机的销售、签约、交付和维护服务。1985年海波作为工程学徒加入罗尔斯·罗伊斯,他曾在美国国际航空发动机公司供职5年,担任过中国与亚洲区商务经理,并于2002年首次来到中国。

Steven Burrill, Head of Service Engineering – Greater China & Asia Pacific

Steve is currently leading the Engineering team in the newly created Rolls-Royce Customer Service Centre – Singapore, supporting Rolls-Royce customers in Asia Pacific and Greater China. Prior to this, he has held a number of senior Engineering roles in Rolls-Royce and its Joint Ventures including Vice President Engineering at International Aero Engines (IAE) leading the V2500 engine programme and Chief Engineer for Rolls-Royce Business Aviation engines based near Berlin, Germany. Steve has nearly twenty years’ experience across the Defence, Civil, Business Aviation and Marine business that includes leading teams in numerous partnerships and joint ventures including IAE, RRTM and EPI.

Simon Muschamp, Product Strategy Executive

Simon Muschamp is part of the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace Strategy team examining and developing responses to the challenges of the future aviation environment. He is responsible for developing business strategy across the whole product lifecycle, including identifying and leading technological, product, services, supply chain and commercial advances.  He is responsible for ensuring that the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace organisation has a complete understanding of customer requirements and delivers future products and services that meet and exceed customer expectations. Simon joined Rolls-Royce in 1998, since then he has undertaken a variety of roles across Finance, Purchasing, Engineering and Strategy Development. In this time he has been responsible for leading Rolls-Royce activities including process development and cost reduction across manufacturing, technology and the supply chain.

Peter Cox, Marketing Director

Peter has been with Rolls-Royce for over 35 years, during which time he has worked in a variety of Engineering, and Marketing roles. With a 1st Class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, he joined Rolls-Royce in 1976 and spent his early career working on a variety of research, design and engine development programmes, from future engine concepts to flight test analysis. His subsequent roles included Market and Business Intelligence, and Product and Services Marketing for a range of programmes from Trent 700 to Trent XWB. Peter has had a 17-year relationship with the Chinese Aerospace industry, and his current role is Rolls-Royce’s Marketing Director for China responsible for Civil Large Engines and Services.

Paul Stow, Chief Project Engineer – Trent 1000
演讲者:Paul Stow,遄达1000项目首席工程师

Paul Stow joined the Trent 1000 project in 2012 taking the lead in Certification process for the package C engine seeing the engine through Aircraft certification on 787-9 and into service. Managing the engineering activity post entry in to service. Paul joined Rolls-Royce in 1980, spending his early career years in Helicopter engine flight test. He transferred to Large Civil Engines in 1991 for the engine development programme of the Trent 700 and its certification on the A330. Paul has held several senior leadership roles in engineering over the last 16 years, including Chief Controls engineer – responsible for software and control unit modification programmes for all in service civil large engines. Chief Service engineer for the Trent 500 and 700 for several years managing many service issues and improving the durability of both products. Major event executive- dealing with the significant events which can occur in-service and need detailed attention and management.

Panayiotis (Panos) Nicolaou, Aerospace Consultant
演讲者:Panayiotis (Panos) Nicolaou, 航空顾问

Panos is one of the Aerospace Consultants, currently leading the Singapore Airlines Group Fuel Optimisation Programme, from customer management, through product development, to service delivery. His career in aerospace started over 10 years ago, and has worked for some of the market leading manufacturers and airlines. Panos started his working life in the United States at Boeing Commercial Airplanes as a propulsion design engineer, before moving to work with Cyprus Airways and EasyJet, in aircraft performance and flight efficiency positions. Panos is very passionate about new technology and analytics application, particularly for problem solving and generating value for organisations. He really enjoys working closely with customers, and getting to understand their operational ‘pains’.
