The 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services ("CIFTIS") will be held in Beijing in early September. On August 17, the 2020 CIFTIS Press Conference announced that the outdoor venues and related supporting facilities of the current CIFTIS have been completed on August 16, and relevant acceptance has been kicked off. Subsequently, the design team will arrange the overall environment of the exhibition area as planned, set up indication signs, and test and adjust the lighting, air conditioning and network facilities based on the booth construction requirements of each exhibitor, thus providing convenient and comfortable conditions for exhibitors to participate in the exhibition.

It is introduced that the construction of outdoor venues of the CIFTIS officially started on July 1, lasting for more than 40 days. At present, structural construction, wall installation and color decoration of 30 exhibition halls have been completed; hoisting and landscaping of five mountain-shaped "welcome gates" fulfilled; structural construction and color decoration of eight wind and rain corridors finished. In order to satisfy the needs of the exhibition and display, the exhibition area is set up in the China National Convention Center and surrounding areas, and venues are built in the Olympic Park. The exhibition area covers an area of about 200,000 square meters.

This session of CIFTIS introduces the "1+8+N" holding mode, i.e., one comprehensive exhibition area, eight thematic exhibition areas and several functional service areas.
According to Cheng Yan, the person in charge of the outdoor venue design team, 30 outdoor venues are about to be built for exhibition. Among them, the comprehensive exhibition area is located on the first floor of the China National Convention Center and the landscape avenue on the east side of the China National Convention Center, including the preface hall, the public hygiene and disease control area, the enterprise exhibition area in twelve sectors of the trade in services, and the country and provincial area. Eight thematic exhibition areas are located in the landscape avenue of the Olympic Green and the ground floor of the China National Convention Center, including cultural services, financial services, world winter sports, tourism and travel-related services, service robots, education services, sports services and 5G communications services from south to north. In addition, functional service areas are set up according to local conditions, and a catering area is built on the ground floor of the China National Convention Center; functional service areas such as catering and water bar are set up in wood and lawn gaps on both sides of the landscape avenue of Olympic Park and Hujing West Road; an unmanned driving experience area is established on Tianchen East Road.

According to display characteristics of each special topic, outdoor venues and the overall environmental image of the current CIFTIS are specially designed. Extended to the central axis of landscape avenue, the 30 outdoor venues are decorated with a "rainbow" gradient effect; five mountain-shaped "welcome gates" are set up with a maximum length of 85 meters and a minimum length of 50 meters from east to west (total length: 354 meters); connected with "welcome gates", eight wind and rain corridors are built with a total length of 960 meters, dividing the "courtyard" space with Chinese cultural characteristics; external facade of Linglong Tower is decorated, and iconic landscape structures such as "Service Trade Ring" are built. In addition, each thematic exhibition area has also designed its own theme color, such as orange for cultural services, blue for world winter sports, and yellow for financial services.
