Switzerland-specific promotion event took place

On January 30, the Swiss Brands in the Era of Digital Economy Promotion Event of "CIFTIS-Never-Ends" Series was held online. Co-hosted by the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association and the Beijing International Trade in Services Center, organized by Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events, and co-organized by the Zurich Branch of China Construction Bank, it was the first overseas promotion event of China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in 2023.

An official from Beijing International Trade in Services Center revealed that the preparatory work for the 2023 CIFTIS has started. By then, we will invite overseas countries, regions and international organizations to hold exhibitions and conferences, and organize trade delegations from China's provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities to attend the fair, and vigorously promote high-quality service trade enterprises to participate in exhibitions and conferences. Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events made highlighted recommendations around Environmental Services, a new addition to 2022 CIFTIS, and Telecommunications, Computer & Information Services, Supply Chain and Business Services, Engineering Consulting & Construction Services, and Health Services that are concerned by enterprises.

Representatives from Switzerland Innovation, Swiss Agency of Small and Medium Enterprises and Swiss enterprises introduced Switzerland's advantageous service trade sectors, including tourism and travel-related services, optional consumer products design and business services via video link. Zurich Branch of China Construction Bank introduced the quality financial services it provides to enterprises in both countries.

Thanks to the close economic and trade ties between China and Switzerland, Swiss institutions and enterprises have participated in the CIFTIS for many consecutive years. According to the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association, the CIFTIS facilitated its accession into the Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS), providing an excellent platform for pragmatic cooperation and exchanges between Swiss and Chinese enterprises and making positive contributions to the development of global services and trade in services. Therefore, the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association will continue to work with the Embassy of Switzerland in China and the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and organize Swiss enterprises to participate in the 2023 CIFTIS, hold exhibitions, conferences and related activities around such themes as China-Switzerland service trade cooperation and Swiss brand promotion, and further deepen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides through the CIFTIS platform.
