The 10th Anniversary of the “Belt and Road” and New Prospects of South-South Cooperation - CIFTIS Promotion for South-South Cooperation Countries was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on May 10. The event was co-hosted by the Beijing International Trade in Services Center and the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and organized by Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events, aiming to facilitate South-South cooperation and international cooperation on the Belt and Road through CIFTIS. More than 80 representatives from 21 countries' embassies in China, nine international organizations, and relevant business associations and enterprises attended the event. The Beijing International Trade in Services Center promoted the 2023 CIFTIS.

The 2023 CIFTIS is scheduled to take place in the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park. Like the previous sessions, this year's CIFTIS will comprise the Global Trade in Services Summit, exhibitions and displays, forums and conferences, promotional business talks, achievements release, and supporting activities, covering nine categories, namely telecommunications, computer & information services, financial services, culture & tourism services, education services, sports services, supply chain and business services, engineering consulting & construction services, health services, and environmental services.

At present, more than 40 countries and international organizations have preliminarily confirmed that they will hold exhibitions and meetings at the 2023 CIFTIS. A growing number of enterprises from different industries are signing up for the trade fair. In addition, central SOE trade delegations, state-owned financial enterprise trade delegations, and local trade delegations will continue to attend the CIFTIS in 2023.

The Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries reviewed its participation in the previous sessions of the CIFTIS and shared its plan for future cooperation with the CIFTIS. The Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation outlined the prospects of cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and called for efforts to build consensus and achieve win-win results through the CIFTIS.

The preparations for the 2023 CIFTIS are well underway. Countries and international organizations are invited to the trade fair.
