A sneak peek into 5 highlights of 2022 CIFTIS

2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is scheduled to take place in China National Convention Center and Shougang Park from August 31 to September 5. Like the previous sessions, 2022 CIFTIS will be organized both online and onsite, including comprehensive and thematic exhibitions. The Global Trade in Services Summit will be held at China National Convention Center on the night of August 31, followed by exhibitions, forums, conferences and other events at China National Convention Center and Shougang Park over the next five days. The professional audience days will last from September 1 to September 2, and the public open days from September 3 to September 5.

With the newly built China National Convention Center Phase II, the total exhibition area is 152,000 square meters, an increase of 26,000 square meters from the last session, which can better meet the needs of exhibitors.

Given the rapid development of environmental services and the international demand for them, a thematic exhibition on such services will be added to showcase new technologies and applications in environmental protection and energy conservation, aiming to help achieve the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

A metaverse experience hall will be set up at the thematic exhibition on telecommunications, computer and information services to display metaverse, the new-generation Internet, and other technologies and applications. In the experience hall, an achievements release room based on the metaverse technology will be designed to accelerate the transformation of metaverse from concept to application.

2022 CIFTIS will select the Global Alliance for Trade in Services as its international partner, a move to improve its mechanism for cooperation with international organizations. At present, 65 countries and international organizations have confirmed they will attend the trade fair online and onsite in the name of their respective nation or headquarters; the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the World Meteorological Organization, among others, will hold exhibitions, forums and conferences. In addition, the world's top 30 countries in service trade, Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises will be invited to 2022 CIFTIS, so as to boost the international appeal of the trade fair.

2022 CIFTIS will leverage the advantages of its operation mode that combines public institutions and enterprise groups to promote market-oriented development. It will also improve the signage and guidance system for better coordination between China National Convention Center and Shougang Park, enhance onsite supporting services, and refine the functions of the CIFTIS digital platform, thereby facilitating attendees and exhibitors.
