On December 16, the second overseas promotion conference of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) - Bern Overseas Roadshow - was held in Bern, Switzerland.
As the 15th promotion event targeting overseas countries this year, this introduction roadshow was hosted by Beijing International Trade in Services Center, organized by Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events, and co-organized by the Euro-Sino Enterprises Association, with strong support from the Bank of China (BOC). More than 60 representatives from Switzerland Digital Network Platform, Olgram, MingCore Networks, Euro-Sino Innovation Centre, AlpVision, and other enterprises attended the event. At the roadshow, they engaged in extensive discussions and exchanges, and explored cooperation opportunities. Notably, Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events and Euro-Sino Enterprises Association signed a memorandum of cooperation to collaborate on future CIFTIS activities.
Li Zhongshuang, Level-I Inspector of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, stated that China attaches great importance to the development of trade in services, with its total foreign trade volume ranking second globally for nine consecutive years, demonstrating rapid growth momentum and robust resilience. By hosting the CIFTIS, China aims to share the development opportunities of trade in services with all parties. Many renowned Swiss companies, such as ABB, Nestlé, and Novartis, have long established themselves in the Chinese market and developed extensive partnerships. Additionally, some Swiss enterprises have positioned their offices within the "Two Zones" (the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone), which provide excellent infrastructure for these enterprises' production and R&D. In particular, Beijing's strong push for the development of the "Two Zones" has presented new opportunities and potential for Swiss enterprises, which anticipate further collaborations with China in areas including environmental protection, culture, and public health. Li Zhongshuang also extended a sincere invitation to Swiss companies to invest and operate in China, fostering shared business opportunities and mutual development.

Xie Guoxiang, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 74 years ago, the China-Switzerland friendship has withstood the test of time despite the volatile international situations. Guided by the leaders of both countries, the China-Switzerland innovative strategic partnership has moved forward steadily, making notable strides in economic and trade cooperation. China has been Switzerland's third-largest trading partner since 2014. Switzerland is China's sixth-largest trading partner, fifth-largest source of investment, and sixth-largest investment destination in Europe. The Chinese Embassy in Switzerland will fully support the 2025 CIFTIS and facilitate Swiss enterprises' participation in the fair, added Xie.
