A Telecommunications, Computer & Information Services-themed interview, the second in the Post-2023 CIFTIS Group Interview series titled "Growing Together with CIFTIS", was held in Beijing on December 21. The event was jointly planned and organized by the Beijing International Trade in Services Center and the Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events. Representatives from the Beijing Municipal Services Center for SMEs, Beijing BBEF Electronics Group Co., Ltd., Beijing Power Supply Association, Beijing Haizhi Technology Group Co., Ltd., Hydsoft Technology Co., Ltd., and Inspur Yunzhou Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. exchanged their insights with media outlets face to face, sharing stories about how they have been growing together with CIFTIS.



As one of the nine thematic exhibitions of the CIFTIS, the Thematic Exhibition on Telecommunications, Computer & Information Services won the "Excellent Thematic Exhibition" title at the fair for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023. The thematic exhibition is organized by Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events Co., Ltd. and Sun E Town (Beijing) Technology Culture Group Co., Ltd. under the leadership and guidance of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, along with Beijing Communications Administration. 


The Thematic Exhibition on Telecommunications, Computer & Information Services of the 2023 CIFTIS featured four areas respectively for telecommunications services, digital technology, smart life, and a special exhibition (for specialized and new "Little Giant" enterprises and international innovation-based enterprises), as well as one cutting-edge metaverse technology innovation and application experience center, offering a comprehensive showcase of up-to-date technologies and the latest advancements in the fields of information, communication, and metaverse. This ICT exhibition presented six outstanding highlights: wide application of AI technology, which could be seen from the complete presentation of the evolution of the information and communication technology industry, as well as AIGC large language models; a platform built for the collaborative innovation and development of small, medium, and large enterprises, forming a symbiotic business ecosystem; high-level conferences and forums; a wealth of key achievements; a great number of VIPs and distinguished delegations received; and extensive media attention and coverage.



Zhou Ling, deputy director-general of Beijing International Trade in Services Center, attended and addressed the event. She stated that the services sector and service trade have emerged as an indispensable force that are shaping the new landscape of common prosperity across the globe. China's service imports and exports grew 8.7 percent year on year to 5.3 trillion yuan in the first ten months of this year, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce. In the next five years, China's total trade in services is expected to exceed US$5 trillion, which will bring the world more market, investment and growth opportunities. Zhou Ling also gave an overall review of the 2023 CIFTIS and its distinct features, including increased international participation, higher-level organizers and attendees, further highlighted transaction function, and intensive and positive reports.



Hu Guanghao, deputy director (in charge) of the External Communication and Cooperation Office of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and Liu Jun, office head of Beijing Communications Administration, initiators of the event, shed light on the distinctive features and achievements of this year's ICT exhibition.



He Qionghua, senior director of Beijing Capital Group Exhibitions & Events Co., Ltd., organizer of the event, provided an overview of the ICT exhibition and shared preliminary plans for the 2024 edition.



Zhang Xuekai, deputy general manager of Sun E Town (Beijing) Technology Culture Group Co., Ltd., another event organizer, provided insights into the Metaverse Experience Center at the ICT exhibition. 



During the sharing session, Lin Ze, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Services Center for SMEs, shared how it organized the specialized and new "Little Giant" enterprises exhibition area at the 2023 CIFTIS ICT exhibition to encourage collaborative innovation among small, medium, and large enterprises. 



Du Mengmeng, deputy general manager of Beijing BBEF Electronics Group Co., Ltd. and executive director of 761 Cspace, detailed the unveiling of the international innovation-based enterprise exhibition area at the ICT exhibition, along with the organization of the "International Cooperation on Smart Manufacturing Empowered by Digital Tech" and multiple Demo Day events. 



Sun Jingwei, secretary-general of Beijing Power Supply Association, shared the achievement of securing strategic cooperation projects worth 100 billion yuan during their first participation in the CIFTIS. 



Li Yue, vice president of Beijing Haizhi Technology Group Co., Ltd., elaborated on their "Graph Processing-based Platform for Storage Management and Analysis of Large-scale Multi-source Heterogeneous Data", which won the "Demonstration Cases: Technology Innovation" award at the 2023 CIFTIS. 



Michael Zhang, executive vice president and CTO of Hydsoft Technology Co., Ltd. shared how the company's international strategy of "Based in China, Serving the World" led to winning the "Demonstration Cases: Global Service" award at this year's CIFTIS. 



Zhang Sichang, deputy general manager of the Electronic Information Division of Inspur Yunzhou Industrial Internet Co., Ltd., introduced the company's new model for digital transformation enabled by the Industrial Internet. Their "ECEC Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Management Platform Project" won the "Demonstration Cases: Green Development" award at the 2023 CIFTIS. 



Participants said that as the largest comprehensive exhibition in the field of global trade in services, CIFTIS has seen a continued improvement in its market appeal and global competitiveness for its global perspective and industrial ecology, offering new opportunities for common development and demonstrating China's determination and confidence in sustained opening-up and cooperation. They wished the CIFTIS greater success in the years to come. They also hoped that they can better display their corporate strengths in areas like platforms, technology, and products at the CIFTIS, where they can connect with more market resources, and share business opportunities and fruits, contributing China's scientific and technological innovations to the development of global services and trade. 


● China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. 

 CIFTIS is the first state-level global comprehensive fair for trade in services, serving as an exhibition window, communication platform and cooperation bridge for the service industry and trade in services.
