2024 CIFTIS to provide convenient and comfortable experience

This year, the Shougang Park exhibition area will feature 12 indoor exhibition halls and two outdoor pavilions, covering a total area of 122,400 square meters, with 110,500 square meters dedicated to exhibitions. Additionally, 18 conference rooms will be available to accommodate forums and conferences, promotional business talks, achievements release, and supporting events throughout the fair. Notably, the renovated No. 4 Blast Furnace of the Shougang Park is scheduled to open during the fair as the exhibition complex of Shougang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The venue and its surrounding municipal roads, landscaping, lighting, and public facilities will undergo comprehensive upgrades to ensure a more comfortable experience for both exhibitors and visitors.

The Shougang Park, to be more specific, will undergo substantial upgrades and improvements in three aspects to transform itself into a more compact, logically organized, and full-featured venue for the 4.0 version of CIFTIS, with an aim of significantly enhancing the convenience and overall comfort for all participants. First, improved spatial layout and functional upgrade. The 4.0 version of CIFTIS will further highlight the "new settlement-style" exhibition space, representing the unique symbol of exhibition culture, with the goal of transforming the Shougang Park into the Shougang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Second, improved navigation services for a better experience. This necessitates efforts to streamline visitor flow, enhance signage for clarity, and improve transportation accessibility. Moreover, it is necessary to improve the road infrastructure to ensure higher traffic efficiency for all involved, effectively enriching the exhibition and park visiting experience for both exhibitors and visitors. Third, improved supporting facilities and service upgrade. Comprehensive services will be provided to exhibitors, covering booth construction, power supply, and network connectivity. Furthermore, ongoing enhancements to the peripheral facilities of the CIFTIS area will offer diverse and distinctive consumption experiences across multiple contexts. Ultimately, this will culminate in an overall nighttime view of "two axes, two districts, two lakes, and multiple centers", delivering a unique and fulfilling experience for exhibitors and visitors.

Accordingly, Shijingshan District will comprehensively improve its public supporting services, featuring more prominent wayfinding and directional signage within the venue and surrounding areas. Plans include installing boarding information signs at key locations such as Gucheng Station to direct visitors to shuttle services, and establishing a dedicated team to ensure the orderly use of shared bikes, including temporarily increasing their availability and establishing additional temporary parking spot (e.g., beneath Shougang Bridge). The focus will be on maintaining the order of shared bike parking around the Shougang Park and conference hotels, and along Shijingshan Road, Fushi Road, Wuhuan Road, Beixin'an Road, and Guangning Road.

Furthermore, this year, Shijingshan District will develop a practical traffic support manual, making service contacts accessible to the public and expanding communication channels to enhance the standard of public transportation support for the fair. Leveraging the legacy of Winter Olympics volunteers, the district plans to establish six urban volunteer service stations around the Shougang Park, covering all the transportation routes surrounding the CIFTIS. These stations will be tasked with a range of services, including guiding individuals outside the designated CIFTIS area, providing consulting and language services, encouraging civilized behaviors, offering emergency aid, and facilitating cultural communication.
