RCEP Brings New Opportunities in Bilateral Collaboration

Dr. Yan Lijin, chairman of China Silk Road Group (CSRG), and Mr. Saarani bin Mohammad, Chief minister of Perak State Government held meeting on Feb. 20th, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Both sides reviewed the progress of work after the meeting in January 2023, as well as CSRG delegation recent visit in Ipol city, Perak.

Chief minister hopes to facilitate the upgradation of traditional industries in Perak through mutual cooperation in the field of digital economy, and further promotes the local economic development.

Both sides discussed the path and structure of joint establishment of RCEP International Digital Economy Zone. Chief minister hopes to strengthen cooperation in the industries as agriculture, manufacturing, foreign trade, digital economy infrastructure, culture exchange, tourism, and education etc. with partners from different Chinese provinces and cities. Both sides believe that the innovative cooperation mode under the RCEP framework will to strengthen bilateral relations and improve the bilateral trade to a new level.

YB Dato Ahmad Suaidi Bin Abdul Rahim, Secretary of Perak State government, together with Datuk Redza Rafiq Razak, DG of PKNP, and Mr. Tang Yang, Vice President of CSRG attended the meeting.
