The School of Computing at the University of Leeds was in the top 10 in the UK REF2021 and has a commitment to excellence in our teaching and vibrant research culture. There are currently around 45 members of academic staff and we are now expanding to create new academic positions.
About the opportunity
As part of this expansion, we are looking to appoint up to six new colleagues at Professor or Associate Professor level for new permanent (tenure equivalent) posts in the School and we are seeking to make a number of appointments in the area of Theoretical Computer Science.
Current activity in the School in this area includes algorithms on graphs and discrete structures, the computational complexity of problems on discrete structures, deterministic scheduling theory, and its applications, randomised algorithms, probabilistic analysis of algorithms, approximation algorithms, combinatorial optimisation, combinatorics, graph theory, and logic.
