Job description
We are looking for an outstanding young researcher with a PhD in
Mathematical Optimization or a related field, and interests in Artificial
Intelligence and Data Science.
With a focus on confluence of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, the post-doc is expected to do research on modern optimization algorithms for solving the subset selection problem and its variants.
The research will be supervised by professors "Walid Ben Ameur" and "Mahdi Moeini" at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (Télécom SudParis/SAMOVAR).
Your profile
- To be eligible, applicants must have defended – or be due to defend –
their PhD between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2023.
- The postdoctoral fellowship will be provided for a 12-month period, and can be renewed for another 12 months.
- Fluency in English is a must, and having good programming skills is
required.
- Familiarity with Julia and a standard optimization solver, e.g., Gurobi
or IBM Cplex, is considered as a bonus point.
