The School of Computing at the University of Leeds was in the top 10 in the UK REF2021 and commits to excellence in our teaching and vibrant research culture. There are currently around 45 members of academic staff and we are now expanding to create new academic positions.

As part of this expansion, we are looking to appoint a number of colleagues at Lecturer level (Grade 7) for new permanent (tenure equivalent) posts in the School. We are looking to support and develop individuals in adopting new and innovative approaches to teaching whilst delivering a research informed curriculum.

We will consider applications from individuals with research interests, and an ability to contribute to our teaching, in areas related to software engineering, systems architecture or the underpinning theoretical foundations of computer science. Specifically, we invite applications from candidates capable of teaching in the areas of; advanced algorithm design & analysis, optimisation, cryptography, and complexity & computability.
