Under the supervision of the head of the DAPI department, in collaboration with the project team “Sustainable and reconfigurable production systems management to face risks”, founded by the ANR project ‘Reconfidurable”. The goals of this post-doctorate is to propose new apporoaches for the management of reconfigurable production systems. These approaches will have to consider changes in the production system (such as resource unavailability, longer processing times), while ensuring the system sustainability. They will be validated on a case study, based on real industrial data. 

The main tasks of the position are: 

1. Review the literature on decision problems related to the choice of configurations of reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS) with uncertainty. 

2. Propose a new methodology to manage this type of systems, to optimize both their sustainability and their efficiency, taking into consideration changes in the production system. 

3. Publish articles and communicate on the results obtained

Minimum education and/or experience required: 

• PhD obtained less than 3 years before date of hire in operations research or industrial engineering. 

Essential skills, knowledge and experience: 

• Knowledge of manufacturing systems and industrial engineering approaches 

• Knowledge of operations research and in particular combinatorial optimization and optimization under uncertainty.
