About the position
I am offering a PhD position in Mathematics at City University of London, focusing on Topological Data Analysis (TDA). The research will explore the following topics:
Geometric inference and Hodge theory
Dynamical systems on geometric graphs
Computational geometry and topology
Homotopy invariants from point clouds
Applications to data/model analysis problems
The position will offer an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge mathematical research in a collaborative environment, with regular seminars and meetings with TDA groups from universities in London, Oxford, and surrounding areas.

Funding and Benefits
Duration: 3 years
Tuition Fees: Fully covered
Stipend: £21,000 net annually (adjusted for inflation)
Travel Budget: Available for conferences, research visits, etc.
Teaching Assistant Opportunities: Option to work as a Teaching Assistant at the university
Requirement
Master’s degree (or similar qualification) in Mathematics or a related field by the start of the PhD
Strong background knowledge in Algebraic Topology, Geometry, and/or Algebra (desired)
Experience with algorithms and coding (desired)
Enthusiasm and motivation for research
Fluent English (both written and spoken)
