About the position
The Institute of Algorithms and Complexity at TUHH offers a PhD position for candidates interested in researching algorithms for discrete/combinatorial optimization problems, mathematical programming, algorithmic game theory, or related fields. The position provides an opportunity to work with established professors and scientists, offering close supervision and career development.
Type: Full-time (100%)
Duration: 3 years (with the possibility of extension)
Salary: TV-L E-13 (German public sector; salary depends on experience, family circumstances, etc.)

Requirements
Required: Excellent Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred: Background in algorithms, complexity, mathematical optimization, or discrete mathematics
Skills: Programming experience is a plus, as is affinity for optimization and algorithms
