About the position

The LINKS team at Inria Lille is currently seeking PhD candidates for a project on “Efficient enumeration via edits”. The position focuses on designing efficient enumeration algorithms that output solutions one after another, particularly in contexts where the objects to be enumerated are large. The approach, called "by edits", involves outputting the description of how to obtain the next item from the previous one, rather than generating it from scratch. The research will apply to problems in automata theory, graph theory, and databases.

Research Focus: Efficient enumeration algorithms using the "by edits" approach for problems in automata theory, graph theory, and databases.

Location: Inria Lille, in collaboration with the University of Lille and the CRIStAL laboratory.

Strong background in discrete mathematics, complexity theory, formal languages, logic, and databases
