About this position
Teaching of mathematics courses in German and English for engineering students and for students of mathematics and computer science (in particular exercise classes)
Organization, holding and grading of exams
Research in the field of probabilistic combinatorics
Publication activity in internationally renowned journals and conference proceedings in the field of probabilistic combinatorics
Participation in the scientific activities of the Combinatorics group at the Institute of Discrete Mathematics
Administrative tasks in the context of the teaching and research activities of the institute
Requirements
PhD in mathematics or theoretical computer science
Desired Qualification
Very good knowledge and research experience in the field of probabilistic combinatorics
Ability and willingness to conduct independent research in the field of probabilistic combinatorics
Good knowledge of German (required for teaching) and very good knowledge of English
Experience with teaching mathematics, in particular classes for engineering students
Experience with teaching and organizing classes with a large number of participants
