About the position
Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA)

Algorithms Positions – Assistant or Associate Professor
Start: 1 August 2026 (negotiable)
Research focus
Combinatorial optimisation, online algorithms, graph theory, data structures, complexity theory, cryptology, algorithmic cheminformatics; strong candidates in complementary or applied directions are welcome.

Requirement
PhD in Computer Science with algorithms specialization.
Top-tier publication record relative to career stage.
Commitment to teaching and advising at BSc, MSc and PhD levels.
Assistant professor (tenure-track)
Demonstrated potential required.
Review for tenured associate professorship before the end of year six; earlier review possible on request.
Associate professor (tenured)
Minimum four years of recognised post-PhD research.
Proven ability to lead independent research and attract external funding.
Substantial teaching and supervision experience.
Language
English fluency required; Danish not required – free language courses offered.
