Public Health Emergency Response to be Downgraded!

According to relevant national laws and regulations and related requirements, considering the current COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control situation in Guangdong Province, and based on the evaluation by experts, Guangdong Provincial Leading Group (Headquarters) for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has decided to adjust the public health emergency response of the province from level 2 to level 3 starting from 00:00 of May 9, 2020.

根据国家有关法律法规及相关要求，结合广东省当前新冠肺炎疫情防控形势，经组织专家评估，省新冠肺炎防控领导小组(指挥部)决定，自2020年5月9日零时起，将广东省新冠肺炎疫情防控应急响应级别由省重大突发公共卫生事件二级响应调整为三级响应。

After the downgrade, departments at all levels in Guangdong, by taking into account the regional characteristics and epidemic situation, shall accurately implement measures to prevent imported cases and guard against outbreak rebound locally, improve regular prevention and control mechanism featuring timely detection, rapid handling, precise control and effective treatment, conduct epidemic prevention and control in a thorough and detailed manner, and coordinate epidemic prevention and control as well as economic and social development.

响应级别调整后，全省各级各部门要根据地区特点和疫情形势，精准实施外防输入、内防反弹措施，健全及时发现、快速处置、精准管控、有效救治的常态化防控机制，抓紧抓实抓细常态化疫情防控，统筹推进疫情防控和经济社会发展工作。
