Now through Dec. 31, Art Shekou Vol.2, with the theme of “Good Life Between Mountain and Ocean,” includes various cultural and art exhibitions, free outdoor concerts, interesting role-playing events, Go! Design Community Festival and colorful public welfare activities.

Art Shekou Vol.2 is based on the founding concept of building an international humanistic community in Shekou. The project planning has deepened this year in the three directions of constructing a cultural area, enhancing Shekou’s characteristics, and participating in co-construction and sharing.

In addition to a series of exhibitions being presented inside the Sea World Culture and Arts Center (SWCAC), such as “Gaetano Pesce: Nobody’s Perfect” and “Cherishing Food,” the Nanshan Weekend Concerts are being held every Saturday afternoon outside of the center until Dec. 18 and more live concerts will be presented every Friday and Saturday afternoon and night at Sea World until New Year.

The Fifth Go! Design Community Festival, to be held from Dec. 25 to Jan. 4, 2022 at Sea World, MixC World, OCT-LOFT and Nanhai E-Cool, fulfils its vision of design with society and encourages the public to engage in communities and create a more livable and innovative city.

“Shekou Latitude: Whale Songs,” with Cao Yu Drama and Literature Award winner Yang Qian as the scriptwriter and game designer Liu He to choreograph the game segments, invites players to participate in a role-playing event on the streets of Shekou on weekends from Dec. 1 throughout the New Year holiday.

Meanwhile, the “Shekou New Power” event being held at Nanhai E-Cool, Shekou Net Valley and Sea World through Dec. 10 brings together a new generation of entrepreneurs to guide participants to explore hidden creative spaces in the Shekou community.

As a spinoff event of the “Cherishing Food” exhibition, the Cherishing Food Market extends the concept of cherishing food to market activities and workshops, aiming to encourage the integration of regional cuisine with the linkage of the community. It will be held Dec. 4-5 afternoons and nights together with the Winter 2021 Goooood Life Carnival outside the SWCAC where you can enjoy a children’s bazaar, movie screenings and a giant puppet parade.
