to share their everyday moments

in Shenzhen

through Vlogs, offering a personal lens on the city’s diversity,

energy, and spirit of innovation.

Part1:

Entry Requirements

1. The content of the work must be in line with the theme of living in Shenzhen in the contest and must contain elements that reflect Shenzhen.

2. There is no limit to the form of video, including but not limited to the host variety show, flash show, short documentary, and Vlog. It can be professionally filmed or shot with a mobile phone. If the video screen is pure text and voice narration, it does not meet the contest requirements.

3. The duration of the video should be controlled within 3 minutes, with complete content, clear structure, and self-consistent logic.

4. The video format can be MP4, MOV, FIV, AVI and other standard formats. Your video should have smooth shots, visual quality and clear audio. The video aspect ratio is horizontal screen 16:9, and the video file size does not exceed 200M.

5. The language of the video is not limited, but Chinese or English subtitles must be added.

6. Participation form: You can enter the contest in the name of an individual or team (no more than 5 persons).

7. There is no registration fee for the contest, and the host respects and retains the authorship of the creator without additional remuneration. Signing up for the contest means you agree that the host has the right of non-commercial publicity and use of the entries.

8. The entries must not involve pornography, violence, religious, racial, and regional discrimination and must not be against Chinese law and regulations. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. No advertisements, watermarks, or logos in the video. All entries should comply with the copyright laws, and there is no intellectual property dispute.

Part 2:

Submission

Step 1:

Please complete the first registration form and leave your personal information from June 18 to November 30, 2025.

Step 2:

All participants need to complete their own videos based on personal visiting routes or by joining the supporting activities of

this video contest.

Each participant must post their video on any two social media platforms from TikTok, Xiaohongshu, X, YouTube or Instagram. When publishing, please include the hashtags #JustShenzhenJustYoung and #LiveinShenzhen, and tag Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and

Cooperation.

3. Sister City Collaboration
Outstanding foreign participants with strong video editing skills are encouraged to create mixed-cut videos featuring scenes from both their home country and Shenzhen.

Contest Background

Since its establishment in 2014, Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation (SFIEC) has been committed to promoting the internationalization of the city. Through its flagship CityPlus brand project, SFIEC has strengthened Shenzhen’s exchanges and cooperation with the rest of the world in the fields of culture, education, science, and technology.

As the core program under CityPlus, the "Just Shenzhen Just Young" short video competition has been successfully held three times since 2022. It has received over 400 video submissions from both Chinese and international residents and garnered more than 1300 reports from domestic and international media. Centered on youth perspectives, the competition highlights Shenzhen’s vibrancy and innovative spirit through the lens, aiming to share the city’s stories through young voices, foster cultural exchange and mutual understanding, and support Shenzhen’s development as a more open and inclusive international metropolis.
