Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, a ground-breaking new programme connecting China's financial markets with the world, is ready to launch on Monday 17 November. The mutual market access scheme will allow Hong Kong and international investors to directly invest in eligible shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange for the very first time, and gives eligible Mainland investors direct access to shares listed in Hong Kong.
To mark the launch of the scheme, HKEx has produced a special new web section dedicated to Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. The section includes video messages from HKEx Chairman C K Chow and Chief Executive Charles Li, as well as important information for investors including key components of the scheme and how investors and market participants can take part.
