HKEX is set to start the Closing Auction Session (CAS) in its securities market on Monday, 25 July 2016. Because of CAS, some of the closing times in HKEX's market will be extended.
Here are the new closing times starting on 25 July 2016.
Securities market – Phase 1
Normal trading day: close changed from 4 pm to between 4:08 pm and 4:10 pm
Half-day trading: close changed from 12 noon to between 12:08 pm and 12:10 pm
The closing time of HKEX's derivatives market and opening time of After-hours Futures Trading (AHFT) will be extended as a result of the introduction of CAS.
Derivatives market – Stock index futures and options, currency futures and commodity futures
Normal trading day: changed from 4:15 pm to 4:30 pm
Half-day trading: changed from 12 noon to 12:30 pm
AHFT opening time
Changed from 5 pm to 5:15 pm
