“植树忙一天，利益得百年。”
Every year on the 12th of March whole China puts this proverb into action, when each and everyone one living here is called on to take a shovel and a bucket, go out and green up the environment by planting a tree.
每年的3月12日，中国都会把这句谚语付诸实践。在这天，人们都会拿着一把铲子和一只水桶走出去、种植一棵树来美化环境。
This date marks to be the globally well known “Arbor Day”, which roots can be tracked down till back in 1594, when the little European village of Mondoñedo located in the very north region of Spain held the first documented arbor plantation festivalin the world. This custom was followed by some historical influenced ups and downs until once again a small Spanish village “Villanueva de la Sierra” tookthe initiative to re-launch the first modern Arbor Day in 1805 which found support from the entire enthusiastic population. Since then the number of countries, which are adapting this tradition is continuously growing and therefor gaining more and more popularity.
世界上第一次有记录的植树节日子可追溯至1594年，西班牙北边的一个小村庄里。这个习俗随着历史的跌宕起伏直到1805年时才重新启动，并在西班牙的“Villanueva de la Sierra”村庄得到所有人的热烈支持。此后流行这一节日传统的国家变得越来越多。
