From December 6th toDecember 10th, at the 3rd Global Live PlugFest Closed-doorDemonstration Conference, MICAS demonstrated and explained its "5G O-RUSolution". The conference presented the functions of network equipmentand manufacturer’s interoperability. MICAS O-RU attracted the global attention andsuccessfully exhibited the feasibility of wireless open networks.
The "5G O-RU Solution"provided by MICAS is an equipment that provides high-quality 5G signal strength. It has completed more than 20 tests in different scenarios incollaboration with Keysight in the laboratories in Berlin and Taiwan,which means that MICAS has handed in a satisfactory answer sheet at the O-RANglobal PlugFest test conference. Moreover, as an outstanding contributionmember of O-RAN, MICAS was invited to give a speech at the 3rd Global PlugFestTest Conference, sharing MICAS's recent research progress with global mobileoperators, suppliers and research academic institutions.
He Ying, CEO of MICAS mentioned to thepress: "Our O-RU have been shipped to the global key customers for trialtesting. Thanks to that Keysight provided full support to MICAS frompre-silicon development to system integration. MICAS and Keysight combinedtheir technical resources, which ensured that MICAS Sub-6GHz and mmWaveO-RU solutions completed the test scenarios quickly and successfully, complyingwith the O-RAN conformance test requirements." "During the test,MICAS’s latest Crest Factor Reduction (CFR) and Digital Predistortion (DPD)algorithms also showed excellent RF performance. Therefore benefited by thesealgorithms, Skyworks PA's energy efficiency is highly improved."

This conference accelerated the paceof O-RAN compatible commercial solutions. Soon mature solutions are expected tobecome part of mainstream suppliers and supplier product lines.
