As a Supplier Quality Manager, to ensure the Supplier Quality resources across the SCUs in region are capable of completing their tasks, develop their professional growth accordingly and that there are sufficient Supplier Quality resources across the SMTs to meet the needs of the region.

Key Accountabilities:
Coach therequirements for problem resolution activities for declared and undeclarednon-conformance across the SMTs and suppliers ensuring high levels ofcapability. Engage in the selection & development of new suppliers.
Be the voice of the Customerin relation to Supplier Quality matters (eg: MQIs, CEC support), and ensureCustomer Qualities are understood both within the SMT and in the Suppliers.
To ensure the SupplierQuality resources across the SCUs are capable of completing their tasks,develop their professional growth accordingly and that there are sufficientSupplier Quality resources across the SMTs to meet the needs of the region.
Coach and support the SMTMin establishing and maintaining a robust quality governance framework (eg:quality boards) within the SMT, and ensure Quality KPIs and process compliancechecks are managed regularly Support, coach and lead suppliers to delivereffective quality improvement plans through influencing self-led continuousquality improvement, driving performance improvement and progression along thesupplier maturity journey at the pace required.
Perform processconfirmations and go-look-see activities at suppliers validate product andprocess compliance Provide integration between the quality function, SCU andindividual SQE's, so that the Supplier Quality strategy is executed.
To establish governance ofthe effective deployment of SABRe and the RRMS across the SCU's supply chain.Where warranted by impact or complexity, lead/conduct investigations in thesupply chain and support any required interaction with internal and externalcustomers and the presiding legal and or regulatory (airworthiness) authorities.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications:
A degree (or equivalent) ina relevant discipline is required and professional accreditation is anadvantage. The successful candidate will have a manufacturing engineeringbackground, experience of working within the supply chain, experience of peoplemanagement at team leader level or above.
They will be able todemonstrate: Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures andways of working Knowledge and application of reactive and preventive qualityimprovement methodologies such as 8D, PFMEA, PPAP, variation management, wastereduction, Self-motivation and the ability to self-start.
Proven ability to deliverchange through collaborative leadership. Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss technical and businessissues with all level of business, both within Rolls-Royce and outsideUnderstands and operates Supplier Relationship Management.
Speaking Chinese would be advantageous.
