Recently, China Economic Net officially announced its list of 2020 China Top 10 Convention and Exhibition Industry Events. CIFTIS, the 1st major international economic & trade event hosted by China in 2020, got the honor as a rising star in the industry.
China International Fair for Trade in Services ("CIFTIS"), jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, is one of the three major Chinese convention & exhibition platforms opening to the world along with CIIE and China Import and Export Fair and serves major national, international and comprehensive events of the trade in service industry.
In 2020, the abbreviation of China International Fair for Trade in Services was changed from Beijing Fair to CIFTIS and CIFTIS was held in Beijing during Sep. 4-Sep. 9. 2020 CIFTIS is the first major international trade and economic activity held in China as well as the first major international fair since the outbreak of COVID-19. 22,000 enterprises and institutions from 148 countries and regions were attracted to participate in CIFTIS through online and offline channels, and the joint efforts of all parties culminated the event in full success proved by the flock of participants, the grand occasion, the satisfying trade outcomes, and the significant improvement of the international influence of the event.
The jury reached a consensus that, the successful reconciliation of pandemic-prevention, convenience, feasibility and efficiency of 2020 CIFTIS provides precious experience for all kinds of major trade and exhibition events held during the long battle against COVID-19. Furthermore, the 2020 CIFTIS also alleviates the impact of the pandemic, effectively realizes online & offline publicity and introduction, makes significant improvement in innovating the fair service mode, and fully proves the huge potentials in the development towards digital, internet-based and intelligent economy.
