Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, August 16, the plenary meeting of the Organizing Committee of 2022 CIFTIS was held in Beijing on August 16. Hu Chunhua, Vice Premier of the State Council and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 2022 CIFTIS, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. As highlighted by Vice Premier Hu, we should earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, carry out all the preparatory work in the last stage in a solid and meticulous manner, to turn the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) into a safe, spectacular, and unforgettable event.
Cai Qi, Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the first Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of 2022 CIFTIS, attended the meeting.
Hu pointed out that CIFTIS is a global comprehensive fair for trade in services, a model of China's opening-up and also an important platform for expanding opening-up and cooperation in the service sector. According to Hu, making this CIFTIS a success is of great significance to promote China's opening-up at a high standard, stimulate the growth driver of service trade and boost the stable development of China. On the basis of ensuring the sound progress in the early stage, all member organizations should concentrate on priorities, and work out timetables with a clear division of responsibilities to accomplish the follow-up preparatory work with high quality. Pandemic prevention and control should be placed high on the agenda to make sure that everything is ready. Sound preparation should be made for major events during the CIFTIS, including the Global Trade in Services Summit, to further expand the influence of the CIFTIS. Investment and exhibition invitation, exhibition arrangement and other tasks should be pushed in all respects, in a bid to achieve better exhibition results and transactions. The working mechanism should be improved, and earnest efforts should be in the publicity, security and service support of the event.
Hu stressed that all member organizations should strengthen coordination and cooperation to form a joint force. The Liaison Office should strengthen overall planning and coordination, the five working groups on foreign affairs, security, publicity, convention and exhibition and pandemic prevention and control, should fully implement all requirements in accordance with the division of responsibilities, and the Executive Committee should optimize the organization and management of this CIFTIS to achieve a complete success.
