The "CIFTIS walks into SOEs " Cooperation and Exchange Conference of the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held at the Shougang Park on March 14. The event aimed to create a cooperation platform for mutual empowerment between Beijing municipal state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and CIFTIS, promoting high-quality economic growth in the capital. Attendees included representatives from the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and other government bodies, as well as over 40 Beijing municipal SOEs and their subsidiaries, such as BNS Group, Shougang Group, Bank of Beijing, Beijing Fashion, and Beijing Yiqing Holding Co., Ltd. They also took part in a collective tour of the Shougang Park.
In his speech, Zhao Qizhou, member of the CPC Leadership Group of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and director of Beijing International Trade in Services Center, emphasized that the CIFTIS is the largest comprehensive exhibition with a global reach in the field of trade in services and also serves as an important window to China's opening-up. He noted that the success of the CIFTIS relies on the collective efforts of all stakeholders. As the backbone of Beijing's economy, Beijing municipal SOEs are an indispensable force in supporting the CIFTIS. In 2024, over a hundred Beijing municipal SOEs and their subsidiaries actively participated in the CIFTIS, where they showcased their new products and technologies and provided rich consumption scenarios and high-quality service experiences, demonstrating the impressive results they have made in their pursuit of high-quality development. In 2025, the CIFTIS will further highlight its professionalism and distinctive features as a national-level event, and seek upgrading with a focus on key areas such as AI, green finance, and service consumption. The fair plans to secure a number of exemplary signed projects. Zhao encouraged Beijing municipal SOEs to fully leverage the brand power and global influence of the CIFTIS to chart a new vision for cooperation in trade in services together.

As a crucial platform for China to expand opening-up, deepen cooperation and pioneer innovation, the CIFTIS has become a shining symbol of Beijing. The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People's Government of Beijing Municipality stated that through concerted efforts with Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and other government bodies over recent years, the CIFTIS has continuously strengthened its role as a transaction facilitator and increased the participation of Beijing municipal SOEs. The commission attaches great importance to the participation of Beijing municipal SOEs in major events like CIFTIS, encouraging them to leverage the platform to maximize their strengths and actively integrate themselves into the capital's overall development. Focusing on future industries such as information, health, manufacturing, and energy, the commission will carefully review the technological needs of CIFTIS, open up a batch of application scenarios, and establish a list of cooperative intentions for commercializing scientific and technological achievements, so as to accelerate the application of technologic breakthroughs in Beijing. The commission encourages Beijing municipal SOEs to make better use of the CIFTIS platform in line with their own industrial development reality and capitalize on their strengths in technology, capital, and branding to strengthen collaboration with central SOEs, other municipal SOEs, and private enterprises through CIFTIS-facilitated negotiations, ultimately achieving a number of cooperation outcomes with significant industrial impact rapidly.
