Recently, the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) Reception for Foreign Diplomatic Missions and Rep. Offices of Countries and International Organizations was successfully held. The reception revealed that the 2024 CIFTIS is scheduled to take place in Beijing from September 12 to 16. Themed "Global Services, Shared Prosperity", this year's CIFTIS will lay greater emphasis on its global vision, professionalism, and market orientation as well as its role as a trade facilitator. It will comprise exhibitions and displays, promotional business talks, achievements release, and supporting events. Piao Xuedong, director-general of Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, underscored that the 2024 CIFTIS will strengthen publicity and promotion efforts while continuing to organize the "CIFTIS-Never-End" Series.

It is reported that in 2024, the CIFTIS will further intensify publicity and promotion efforts to increase the visibility of exhibitors and attendees. Apart from the five-day fair, regular activities will be organized, including pre-CIFTIS matchmaking and post-CIFTIS achievements release. Currently, seven overseas roadshows for the 2024 CIFTIS targeting foreign countries including the United Kingdom and Thailand have already been conducted, along with the first Guest Province of Honor Promotion Roadshow - a specialized activity for Hainan Province. Next, we also plan to cooperate with the Embassies of Norway, Australia and other countries in China to hold multiple activities targeting foreign countries, as well as the second Guest Province of Honor Promotion Roadshow - a specialized activity for Sichuan Province. With all these events, we hope to provide more cooperation opportunities for CIFTIS exhibitors and attendees.

Sima Hong, vice mayor of Beijing, affirmed in her address that Beijing, as the host city, will spare no effort to organize the CIFTIS at a high level, providing high-quality services for guests, attendees and exhibitors from across the globe. At the same time, it will invite a wide range of countries, regions, international organizations, and institutions and well-known enterprises at home and abroad to discuss cooperation at this year's CIFTIS, share service trade development opportunities, and collectively contribute to the prosperity of global services.
