On August 4, the Hangzhou Shaoxing Urban Rail Transit Cooperation Package Agreement was formally signed, marking another big step forward in the integration development between Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Ningbo.
The agreement specifies the issues related to the implementation of the transfer of paid area in The Maiden Bridge station of Hangzhou Metro Line 5 and Shaoxing Metro Line 1.
The implementation of this cooperation project is complicated in technical transformation, with a large influence, and involves the interface of multi-department management and linkage working mechanism. Therefore, it is very difficult to advance the work in the early stage. Since the launch of the project in 2017, various departments (units) of Hangzhou and Shaoxing, including transportation, public security, urban management, social security, finance and subway company, have conducted multiple rounds of negotiation and docking on planning, construction, operation and service of the two places, and finally reached an agreement. In the process of promotion, Shaoxing Rail Transit Group was brave enough to shoulder the responsibility and rose to the challenge. It took the initiative to connect the technical standards of the separation system with Hangzhou Metro, overcome the technical difficulties, and timely organized the transfer opening meeting in the paid area, which saved precious time for the signing of the agreement and subsequent construction.
It is the first time for the two rail transit cities to realize the transfer of ticket, card and code payment area based on the independent ticketing system. In other words, it supports the payment transfer of one-way ticket, citizen card, bus card and QR code, which creates good basic conditions for the future operation and management.
