Responsibilities:
This role will sit under the ALM and Monitoring team of the AXA HK Investment Department. Examples of tasks to be covered by this role includes:

Supports the ALM team in its day-to-day management of AXA HK’s market risks exposure. This includes quantification of various balance sheet level risk metrics like effective duration gap, convexity gap using the Actuarial Prophet model, as well as keeping track of the progress of the hedging program that mitigates those market risks.

Supports the ALM team in the Strategic Asset Allocation (“SAA”) studies. Assists in defining the SAA of AXA HK to ensure a sustainable long term investment strategy with an appropriate balance of assets and liabilities, that in line with applicable risk appetites, various regulatory constraints (for both group and local, e.g., Solvency II, IFRS 17, HKRBC) and policyholder reasonable expectation. This includes Actuarial Prophet model run (both deterministic and stochastic, subject to product features), quantification of various risk metrics and preparing materials for senior management.

Supports the monitoring of the investment market and AXA HK’s investment portfolio. This may include, for example, to track the compliance with investment guidelines and risk limits, and to monitor the investment performance under both economic and accounting basis.
Qualifications:

Undergraduate students major in Actuarial Science or related quantitative subjects. -
Some progress in the Actuarial professional exams. -
Interested in pursuing a career in the Actuarial field. -
Proficient in computer applications like Excel. -
Collaborative and detail minded.
