On May 18, China Shipbuilding Group and China Merchants Group signed a construction contract for two 307,000 DWT VLCC crude oil vessels, which will be built in Dalian shipyard of China Shipbuilding Group. One VLCC will be installed a new generation wind propulsion while another one will be equipped with a hull air lubrication system, both are praised as new green shipping technology applications in China.
