On June 13, 2022, Chinese shipowner Nanjing Shenghang Shipping Co., Ltd. announced to order a liquid ammonia tanker new-building with the capacity of 5500 m3 in domestic shipyard China Merchants Jinling Dingheng ( Yangzhou) . Shenghang Shipping said this move will help lay out a four-in-one business pattern of clean energy liquid ammonia trade operation, waterway transportation, road transportation, and terminal warehousing.
