Wang Hanguang attended " 2014 North America Happy Spring Festival-Hollywood Chinese New Year's Eve Celebration" and performed calligraphy at the event, while acclaimed tenor Oscar Zhang performed opera.
Wang Hanguang,male and born in May, 1964 in Zibo city, Shandong province, is the chairman ofHanhai Holdings. After got his bachelor degree at the Renmin University ofChina, Mr. Wang Hanguang went on to study for a master degree and a PHD inTsinghua University and Wuhan University of Technology.Mr. Wang also takes theposts as a member of China Calligraphers Association. In addition Mr. Wang is the first person to establish anoverseas science and technology park and the first person to perform musicalcalligraphy in Hollywood.
Wang Hanguang has been greatly influenced by Confucianculture from a very young age, which kept his interest in calligraphy allthrough his business career. He started to practice with the help of copybooksbased on the works of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi and study with deputysecretary general of China Calligrapher Association Zhang Xuguang, and hecontinued learning with the works of Sun Guoting, Huai Su and Zhang Xu forseveral decades. Eventually, he created his own style based on the advantagesand styles of those calligraphy experts. His calligraphy works were oftenhighly praised by famous calligraphers, such as Liu , Li Duo, OuyangZhongshi and Lin Xiu, attracting attention from both calligraphy and businesscircles. His calligraphy is neat, elegant, strong, vigorous, and smooth. Itdisplays simple style but unique structure, wisdom out of plain appearance andmagnificence. The strokes flow freely on the paper, manifesting perfectharmony.
The art works of Wang Hanguangcalligraphy have been presented to 20th prime minister of Canada Mr.Jean Chrétien, minister of United Nations Educational，Scientific and Cultural Organization Mr.Godonou, San Francisco mayorMr.LI Mengxian and other foreign politicians and ambassadors.Mr.Wang Hanguang’scalligraphy works were highly appraised by our international friends and havebeen collected and exhibited by Chinese consulate general in Toronto, Chineseconsulate general in Los-Angeles, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing andetc.
