Digital Content Officer

The Digital Content Officer is responsible for developing digital content for internal and external communications for the Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI)’s Greater China Network. This includes but is not limited to presentations, newsletters, short promotional videos, Wechat account posts, and Wechat mini-app program.
This role may be of particular interest to young professionals with extensive experience in digital content creation. An academic background in design, social sciences, communications, or business, as well as an interest in international affairs are an advantage.
Based within the Shanghai office, the position will develop and coordinate the production of digital content for the Victorian Government’s projects across international education, investment, and trade projects. The position requires experience in digital content creation and a proactive attitude

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
1. Proven experience in the creation and coordination of digital content with skills in areas such as graphic design and layout, video-editing, Wechat account post, Wechat mini-program
2. Self-motivated and equipped with the independence, initiative and excellent organisational skills needed to balance multiple projects to achieve outcomes in a timely manner.
3. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English, with accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Strong interpersonal skills working with diverse teams and external stakeholders
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.

Selection Criteria
Proven experience in the creation and coordination of digital content with skills in areas such as graphic design and layout, video-editing, Wechat account post, Wechat mini-program

Mandatory Qualification
The following experience and skills are required to perform in this role:
A relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institute in any discipline
0-3 years of professional experience
Strong Mandarin and English language abilities
Proficiency in managing Wechat official account and Wechat mini-program
Proficiency in Xiumi, Adobe Suite, Canva, and other related video-editing and digital content software
