The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the Paulson Institute’s report entitled China’s Next Opportunity: Sustainable Economic Transition. How Jing-Jin-Ji Can Lead The Way.
The Chinese government has prioritised the regional economic integration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, also known as Jing-Jin-Ji. The region is home to some of China’s largest steel and iron manufacturers and accounts for roughly 10% of China’s annual GDP. The report, released in October 2015, proposes a strong policy framework that can inspire private sector innovation and investment to create a foundation for a sustainable, productive, and prosperous economy. In essence, it outlines a vision for a sustainable economic transition in the Jing- Jin-Ji region, which could ultimately inspire a similar transition across China.
