About the Director of Business Development
Mantra’s Director of Business Development will be a leader of our rapidly-growing buy-one, donate-one sunglasses start-up. Work closely with every member of our team to build and execute Mantra’s sales strategy. Plan offline events, oversee our expansion into retail outlets, brainstorm and implement creative ways to tell our story & reach bigger audiences. Help us reach tens or even hundreds of thousands of young people in China. Grow our community, and shape the future of our company as one of our first employees. Our DBD needs to be ambitious and motivated, with relevant experience, an outgoing personality and the tenacity required of this position.
Experience Requirement:
2+ years of professional experience. Sales experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Required Chinese level: You don’t need to master Tang poetry, but you can have productive phone calls with partners from Yunnan to Shanghai
Required English ability: You don’t need to be a native speaker, but you can understand & contribute during rapid-fire English-language meetings

First 30 Days
Develop a broad understanding of the industry, major players, obstacles & strategies
Deliver detailed plans for attaining 3-, 6- and 12-month goals
Meet KPI-driven sales goals
First 3 Months
Our product is effectively selling in 3-6 international locations
Cultivate sales channels, shipping hundreds of products per month
Successfully cultivate B2B, B2C and B2O opportunities in First-Tier cities.
Potential target customers include philanthropy or annual-gift cooperation with MNCs and international organizations, international schools, fashion & lifestyle-relevant retail chains
After 6-12 Months
Reach aggressive sales KPIs
Offline retail domestic & international sales reach thousands of products per month or more
Overseeing a team of franchised sales staff, local reps & brand ambassadors in cities across China and globally
