Senior Industrial Designer
About the company:
A well-known Chinese brand and leading home appliance company in the industry.
Location: Shunde (next to Hong Kong), China
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Communicates, educates and evangelizes role of Design within the organization, helping to guide the maturation of Design within the organization.
• Understand key markets’ user experience and insights and translate that into product design.
• Negotiate project scope, prioritize, track and ensure progress.
• Work with cross functional department to understand the product need and define the problems to be solved.
• Contribute to product vision.
• Hands on design of solutions for key projects
Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of design experience and experience in home appliance product design is a must.
• B.A. or B.S. Degree and above degree in Industrial Design.
• Due to the business strategy, North America or Europe background preferred (USA/Italy/Germany is a plus), and fluent in English required.
• Holistic view, and high-level of confidence and articulation of design approach. Strong aesthetic and story--telling skills. Passionate for delivering the best possible experience to the user.
• Experienced with negotiation of project scopes with stakeholders and project management.
• Skilled communicator. Highly organized. Experienced in collaborating with Research/UX Designers, UI/UX Designers and Engineers, as well as managing contractors and vendors.
• Skilled in ideation processes and prototyping approaches.
• Proven record of design and shepherding of highly usable and beautiful consumer electronic products to market that contain sophisticated user interactions.
